flight to Italy. Now, there is a six hour time difference between Philly and Italy. In Philly, it was midnight but in Italy it is 6:00 am. We were so so tired!!! It takes about two days, (at least for me), to adjust to the time difference. Until then...yawnnnn. When we got to Rome, we boarded a taxi. I have never been so scared in my life. Apparently, in Europe, people drive extremely fast and they beep at each other every 2 minutes. The whole time the driver was driving like a mad man, he was talking rapidly in a jumbled mix of Italian and English. I. Could've. Screamed!!! After this fearful ride was over, (and my heart returned to its normal beating), we checked into our hotel.
The weather right now is around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. We are still in our long jeans and short sleeves tee shirts from the plane. As we journeyed to the Spanish Steps, I think I almost died. THE HEAT WAS UNBEARABLE!!! To make matters worse, there were these poorer class Italians following you around pretty much begging you to take a "free" rose. Free? Yea right. They were like "oh just one coin!" and when you would say to these guys "no", they would follow you around begging you to say yes. I wanted to scream, "NO MEANS NO! N.O!!
So add that onto the heat an what do you get? A sweaty, annoyed, angry Camryn. Yuck. Well now that I am cooled down, I was finally ready to post. Here are some pics of the teeny tiny alleyways that run through Rome. More pics to come!

Question of the day: Am I the only one that doesn't speak Italian?!?!

Isn't this beautiful? The architecture of some of these buildings is simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! |

This is considered a street...I can't even imagine how these Italian woman walk around in stilettos. |

The Spanish Steps (this is were the rose people hang out) The fountain in the center is supposed to hold the sweetest water. The Italians literally walk into the fountain and dunk their faces in it. |
