Second day in Italy: Rome

Hey again! So, our second day in Roma!!! Our morning started off with a light breakfast of pastries and cappuccinos. Just have to add that I accidentally dropped my drink on the table cloth so that it spilled, and it went everywhere. The Italian server comes out, starts yelling in Italian and make flying motions with his hands. Talk about scary...lol. Oh, did I leave out the fact that we had woken up at 10:30 that morning? Haha yea. When I woke up, I was ready for lunch! So anyways, we then walked on over to the Vatican. Cool fact for ya, the Vatican has it's own city called Vatican City. It even has a post office! I included pics from the Vatican below. We even went to the Sistine Chapel! Wowzaaa (sorry but no pics...no cameras allowed) Then we headed over to St. Peters Basilica. That is pretty amazing architecture. Amazing. Cool. Totally beautiful. Then we walked the 50 minutes back to the hotel to freshen up and eat dinner. After dinner, we went to the Trevi Fountain. It was lit up at night, filled with the rose people, and packed. I swear every single person in Rome was trying to squeeze in to get a glimpse of the fountain. Kendall and I tossed Euros into the fountain so, hopefully, we'll be coming back. (If you toss a coin in the Trevi fountain, you will come back to Rome.)
We got lost heading back to the hotel and ended up walking an unnecessary extra 30 minutes in the heat. (Did you know that Rome like never cools down? It was almost 10:00 PM and still stifling.) Now I am so exhausted and ready for bed that I am signing out. Chao!
